There's nothing to sign up for. You'll see your results straight away.

Passing the Global Test, the book
The Trust Filter

The invisible test you didn't know you were sitting

Every day, millions of talented Indian professionals work with Western companies, software engineers, analysts, designers, PMs, graduates. Few realise something crucial: you are being evaluated on an invisible test.

Western managers, without ever saying so, run every email, update and meeting through one subconscious question: “Does this person make my life easier or harder?” They answer it using three signals. We call this the Trust Filter:

01

Clarity

Do I instantly understand this person?

02

Reliability

Can I trust what they say and when they'll deliver it?

03

Proactivity

Will problems reach me early, with solutions, or surprise me later?

This test isn't written down. It isn't taught in universities. Yet it quietly decides who gets hired, trusted, promoted, and chosen for high-value projects. Most people fail it, not because they lack talent, but because they don't know the rules.

Work Global exists to change that.

Why talent gets overlooked

Talent isn't the issue. The issue is misalignment.

Work ethic isn't the issue either. The problem is two professional cultures signalling in different languages.

Western managers expect

  • Concise updates that answer “do I need to worry?”
  • Early warnings, with a plan
  • Confident clarifying questions
  • Predictable commitments
  • Outcomes, stated plainly

Most professionals were taught

  • Detailed explanations that prove effort
  • Solving problems quietly, alone
  • Politeness as silence
  • Saying yes, then working heroically
  • Justifying how hard the work was

These small mismatches quietly erode trust, even when the work itself is excellent. The result: misunderstandings, missed promotions, low visibility, stalled careers. Work Global closes that gap.

One system. Three ways in.

The Foundation

Grounded in a published book, not guesswork

Work Global isn't built on motivational slogans. It's built on Passing the Global Test, a book grounded in the lived experience of managing global teams, and on the behavioural psychology of how trust is actually built and lost across cultures.

The book provides the map. The Trust Filter Score shows where you stand. The Accelerator builds the habits.

Michael Symons, founder of Work Global
Founder

Founded by someone who sat on the other side of the table

Work Global was founded by Michael Symons, an Australian General Manager who has built and led teams across Australia, India and the Philippines, with a career spanning commercial law, investment analysis and firms including UBS and KPMG. He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Melbourne.

For years, Michael watched brilliant, hardworking professionals get stuck and overlooked, while others, often less technically skilled, got promoted faster. The difference was never talent. It was whether they understood the hidden expectations their managers relied on but never explained. Work Global is his answer: the playbook he wishes someone had given his own team members years ago.
